This plaque is on the Shea-Magrath Memorial and Wall of Remembrance at Calf Pasture Beach on the side of the memorial that faces the water. There is one more name to be added in the future, Army Private First Class George Broadhurst, who was born in Norwalk. He was Killed In Action in 1952. We can never forget their service and sacrifice.
NOTE: Should the plaque ever be recast, two items on the plaque need to be corrected, and one name needs to be added:
George Fischer: He died on January 16, 1951. Change the year to 1951.
John McGuinness: His plane crashed on July 19, 1951. Change the year to 1951.
Add George Broadhurst: Born in Norwalk, and isn’t on the plaque.
