CIRCUMSTANCES: Wounded at Brest, France, and died of those wounds 8 days later.


From The Norwalk Hour October 10, 1944

First Lieutenant Kenneth A. Morrell, son of Mrs. Ralph P. Morrell and nephew of William L. Olsen, both of 6 Berkeley Street, who was wounded in action in France on September 10, died on September 18, according to word received from the War Department. Lieutenant Morrell was 33 years of age and was formerly of Bronxville, New York. Lieutenant Morrell attended Wesleyan University and had been in the service for four years. He was an instructor in many places throughout the U.S. and two months ago was sent overseas from Fort Meade, Maryland. His twin brother, Parker, is now here from Washington, DC.
