Asa was a Lt. in Capt. Seymour’s Company of the 9th Connecticut militia, enlisted Aug 12, 1776, discharged Sept 6, 1779, 9th CT Regiment Entered service as Lieut. Oct 24, 1776, and served till Nov 2, 1776, 9th Regiment under Col. Wooster and Capt. Seymour.
