FAMILY: Born to William H. (1810-1877) and Susan Hutchings Ferris (1818-1900). Siblings were William H. Jr. (1839-1867), John H. (1842-1904), Josephine (1844-1919), Charles E. (1846-1906), George L. (1849-1950), Typhena F. (1852-1900), and Frances N. (1856-1919).

CIRCUMSTANCES: Died of typhoid fever on February 18, 1862, at Roanoke Island, Virginia.
