Born to Burr (1807-1893) and Abbie J. Morgan Nash (1812-1849). Siblings were Lucy (1832-?), Melissa J. Nash Fowler (1832-1855), Sara A. (1836-1898), Minerva H. (1837-1927), Vida Nash Wing (1841-1912) and Charles M. (1848-1868).

Officially listed as “missing in action December 13, 1862 at Fredericksburg, VA; probably killed.”
