Gordon Watt Brown, 62, of Acorn Lane, died Monday in Norwalk Hospital. He was the husband of Jane Brown. Born July 26, 1922, in New York City, son of the late John Gordon and Teresa Watt Brown, Mr. Brown had been a 32-year resident of Norwalk. He was associated with the advertising department of Conde Nast Publications and had attended the University of Virginia. A former commodore of Viking Yacht Club of Norwalk, Mr. Brown was on the Board of Governors of Wilson Cove Yacht Club. He was a World War II 15th Army Air Force veteran, had been a prisoner of war, and was awarded the Purple Heart and the Air Medals. Mr. Brown was a member of Rowayton Power Squadron, American Legion Post No. 12 of Norwalk, the Disabled Veterans, and the National American Inc. Prisoner of War. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Noroton. Interment will be in Orange Cemetery in Orange. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. The family requests that contributions be made to Rowayton Fire Department Paramedics, P.O. Box 151, Rowayton. or to a favorite charity.
