NORWALK – Mrs. Gladys Amelia Mills Ledwith, 79, formerly of Washington Village, widow of Thomas Ledwith, died last night in the Bridgeport Healthcare Center. Services will take place Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street, with the Reverend Kenneth J. Dorsch of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will be in Beck’s Hill Center, South Salem, New York. Mrs. Ledwith was a lifelong resident of Norwalk. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. George I. Ready of Pound Ridge, New York, Mrs. Saide Albin and Mrs. Joseph Sweeney, both of Norwalk; a son, Miles Robertson of New Fairfield; four brothers, George, Samuel, and Henry R. Mills, all of Norwalk, and Chester Mills of St. Petersburg, Florida; a sister, Miss Catherine Mills of Norwalk; a stepbrother, Benjamin Olmstead of Norwalk; a stepsister, Mrs. Jean Martinez of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Gladys Mills is buried in Becks Hill Cemetery, 308-324 Smith Ridge Road, South Salem, New York; unknown plot number.
