Worked as a day laborer for J.H. Cobb in Fairfield prior to service.


Died of lobar pneumonia at Camp Upton, New York. More than likely related to the Spanish Influenza outbreak.

Details of Private Lumpp’s burial are unknown. The remains were shipped to his father, Anthony Lumpp, in Brooklyn.
