Marine Private Benjamin Thomas Williams, formerly of Beverly Place, whose wife, the former Mary Alrab of Georgetown, now lives in Glenham, New York, with their four children, was killed in action on Okinawa on May 11, according to word received here today. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin N. Williams and nephew of Brigadier General John G. Williams, Private Williams entered the Marine Corps from Norwalk in June 1944. He had been in the Pacific for five months. Before entering the service, he had been an employee of the Chance Vought Aircraft Company of Stratford. He and the former Miss Alrab were married on August 15, 1939, in St. Mary’s Church. On his last furlough in August 1944, Private Williams visited his many friends in Norwalk.
