FAMILY: Born to Anthony (1858-1933) and Annie Ward Lumpp (1864-1897). One sister Eva Anna Lumpp Ochsenreiter (1894-1979). One brother, Walter (1896-1929).

CIRCUMSTANCES: He died of lobar pneumonia at Camp Upton, New York. More than likely related to the Spanish Influenza outbreak.

OTHER: Worked as a day laborer for J.H. Cobb in Fairfield before entering the service.

Details of Private Lumpp’s burial are unknown. The remains were shipped to his father, Anthony Lumpp, in Brooklyn.
