Born to Charles T. Callaghan (Callahan) (1871-) and Agnes F. Bell Callahan (1874-). One sister, Catherine Callaghan (1898-).


Headstone application card reads “Enlisted in National Guard of Connecticut on February 11, 1941. Inducted into active military service on February 24, 1941. Honorable release from active duty and reverted to National Guard on November 6, 1941. Recalled to active duty on January 30, 1942.


Died in 1954 so it is unclear why he would be on the plaque. Could find no other records. Also, some conflicting information below where the John Callahan in the left-hand article was in Tank Division and the right-hand article was in the Army Air Force. Not sure if they’re the same person.
